Sex and the City 2: Preview

Sex and the City 2 Preview

Sex and the City 2!! OMG, but i can't wait to see this movie. These are my girls - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. I may sound so gay but they're totally amazing. Whatever those fashion critics say negatively on them they still are the best.
I watched the first SATC but wasn't really that happy with the film. Now i realized that after two years, there's a sequel. I think this time the fans won't be disappointed with the film. But anyhow, again, I love Kim Catrall though!

Computer-Vision syndrome: How to prevent

Eye irritation and dryness is two of the most common vision problems a computer-users have. They are vulnerable in all eye-strain related problems. According to an article, Blink often to Avoid Eye-related woes, blinking keeps the surface of the eyes moist. I have gathered from different sources on how to protect your eyes from any eye-related problems, that is - itchiness, far-sightedness, astigmatism and age-related eye conditions.

  • From Sciencedaily.com, Keshia Sims Elder, assistant professor in the UAB School of Optometry added some tips on how to protect the eyes from any computer vision syndrome, aside from blinking. Have a regular eye check up with your optometrist to ensure the correct glasses or contact lenses. Always tell your optometrist what kind of computer works you do. Some doctors even put a special protection on your lenses to protect your eyes from radiation.
  • Rest your eyes for 20 seconds by looking far away from the computer monitor. Do it every 20 minutes or so.
  • Always keep an eye moisturizer handy. In that case, you're always ready to put a drop if your eye itches. An eye drop like EYE-MO will do.
  • Have your monitor "screened" with anti-radiation screens. It's available in the market.
  • Always wear glasses that are specifically designed for computer uses. According to of Sciencedaily.com, that is to reduce glare when infrom of the monitor.
  • Minimize glare by adjusting the room's lighting, and reduce the amount of white paper on the work station near the screen. Remember to blink frequently to reduce computer eye strain.
  • If possible, change your old  bulky monitor with LCD type of screens. Some computer stores nowadays will exchange your old monitor to a new LCD flat screen one. Just pay an additional amount, though.
  • Lastly, i learned this a long time ago but i think this trick is very helpful. Rub your both palms back and forth creating a friction and form heat. Then Cover your both eyes with your heated palms for about a few seconds. Do this for every ten minutes or so. In that case, it relieves your eyes from painful computer-strains.

Facts on Potassium

For CKD (Chronic Kidney Diseases) patients, one of the many factors in determining how well the balance of chemicals, electrolytes, and nutrients appear inside the body is through Potassium. For people on dialysis, their Nephrologists sometimes recommend to them to get a monthly laboratory results for this. The Nephrologist will then identify whether the patient is of high or having a low potassium intake. Anyway the normal Potassium level a person is supposed to have is 3.5-5.0 mEq/L. Beyond or below this level is of already something.

What is the main function of Potassium in our body? Potassium is a chemical, a positive electrolyte inside our cell which functions to maintain the water balance in our body. Common symptoms of potassium deficiency, which is very obvious, are having dry mouth, thirst, weakness, fatigue and muscle cramps. And since the heart is a muscle, it is one of the many muscle-organ that is highly affected if having too much or too low potassium intake.

For people with a normal kidney function and experiencing hyperkalemia and/or hypokalemia (hypo-low, hyper-high), can be corrected by a doctor or even by self-medicating. Supplementation is only the key factor. I have here some tips on how to treat symptoms of low potassium (for people with CKD and normal kidney functions).

  1. Get the daily recommended daily potassium intake. I think every physician would recommend this first tip first. First things first, as they would say. Doctors would normally advice to take at least 2000 to 3000mg of potassium daily.
  2. Eat foods high in potassium. What are these kinds of foods? Main sources of potassium are from milk, fruits and green leafy vegetables. Bananas potatoes are also very rich in potassium. Here's one trick i got from my mother and also advised by my doctor (that is if you're having trouble in lowering your potassium level and/or  into dialysis): Soak the potatoes in a warm water for about 30 minutes before cooking it. In that case, you removed the excess potassium found in the potato! You can have an instant french fries if you like without having guilty thoughts.
  3. Only self-medicate if the medicines you take is approved by your physicians! Some over-the-counter-supplements needs a doctor's prescription or proper dosage before taking it. Extra awareness is needed.
  4. Follow everything what the doctor would tell you to do.
  5. Some people on dialysis use salt substitutes like potassium chloride to lower their sodium intake but unknowingly increased their  potassium level. If you're on dialysis i strongly disagree on having potassium chloride as a substitute. I would still suggest the name of the game, which is moderation. But if you still insist on having it, try to ask your doctor about it.

What Happens if Facebook is in Real Life

Facebook is probably the most common and the most popular networking site today.  Almost everybody who knows how to use the internet, have a facebook. Even a 6-year old child can join. There is no age limit. Take a look on this funny video i found on Youtube. It was hilariously done and everything in it is so true, that everybody - with Facebook - can relate. The problem, on my opinion, about having a Facebook account is the issue on privacy. Everybody can put every secret you have. They can either put your secret through their status update or even tag you in a photo and share it to everybody. There is no wrong about having a facebook account. The only problem is about how we tend to make use of it. Facebook actually can help us on our daily lives. On facebook, we can do business here. We can post our business and makes our business grow and be known easily through this networking site.

Facebook Logo

On the other hand, Facebook has it's negative side, that is if we do it in a wrong way. Since everybody can join and no age limit is required, child pornography is one of the biggest problem with networking sites. These children, unknowingly and innocently post their pictures, probably half-naked (since they're just children), post it on their account. And these pedophiles take advantage out of it. Also, the other big problem with having a networking site like facebook is the issue on posting your personal shoutouts and telling the world about it. There even was one incident that the wife was killed by his husband just because of the first's status update.
Mark Zuckerberg, founder

There's actually a lot of good things and must be thankful of about having a facebook account. The only sad part is, we tend to mix it with our wrong doings. Facebook is made to create a connection with the people that is dear to us and has been separated to us. If we just be able to know the good things and use it on the right way, there would be no problem, at all! Happy Facebooking!

On Kris' promise to go abroad: Walk the Talk:

What Kris Aquino said during the height of the "walk-out" incident with Ruffa Gutierrez, was very funny and must not be taken seriously. I personally don't like Kris Aquino but what she said about going abroad is a very funny thing and i don't want her go. She said it one time that she will leave the country whenever her brother Noynoy Aquino wins the presidency and that if she makes issues week after week when they are in Malacanang. In fairness to what she said, she'll only leave when she "makes an issue".

I laughed so hard seeing in the newspaper that Lolit Solis, the TV showbiz host, always reminds the public about what she said. Again, personally, i think Kris would not do what she  promised. Some even speculated that she'll do the Miriam Santiago thing. I won't be surprised if one day she'll say on national TV that "she lied". I don't even want Kris to go out of the country because i want to see what crazy and scandalous things she'll do with her brother's administration. I even read an article before about Kris' future in her brother's administration. The author predicted that Kris will become Noynoy's spokesperson and that every interview with her would be like a showbiz scene. She'll also be her brother's image consultant. All these are only predictions. A funny prediction.

In facebook, there even were a lot of mushrooming number of fanpages asking for Kris' departure. The people didn't forget what she said on national TV. They even started to collect 1.00php each for her departure. They'll even go with at the airport to really make sure she'll take the flight! Philippine showbiz is a very funny industry.

Learn on Nitric Oxide Supplements to Get Ripped Fast, Is it Safe?

Many athletes nowadays add Nitric Oxide to their work-outs to have that freshly-look "out-from-the-gym" pump. Nitric Oxide is essential to our body to carry out key physiological processes within the body. Nitric oxide is produced in the body by an enzyme called nitric oxide synthase, which converts the amino acid L-arginine to nitric oxide and L-citrulline. It helps the blood to flow easily in the body. Nitric oxide is now thought to play a role in blood pressure regulation, control of blood clotting, immune defense, digestion, the senses of sight and smell, and possibly learning and memory. As everybody requires the NO (Nitric Oxide) in the body, too much dosage of it, together with any amino containing product like the L-arginine, can cause diarrhea, nausea and weakness. But signs of deficiency is physical weakness and fatigue.

But in the athletes' point of view, Nitric Oxide helps them to build muscle fast.  Muscle builders use these as a supplement. Since NO is a neurotransmitter in our body, it is used to send signals in our blood vessels which tell them to relax and to widen. This allows increased blood flow to organs and, importantly for us, all our muscles. People who do exercise without taking any  NO supplements, can also obtain that rock-hard, vein-popping freshly-out-from-the-gym look but is only temporary. And to some muscle builders who maintain NO as their pre-supplement before pumping up their muscles, can obtain that rock-hard muscles a lot longer than those who doesnt take it as a pre-supplement. Since there has not been an established dosing of NO, taking a small dosage for one week and recording every side effects is recommended. Then increase the intake of the dosage until you get the benefits are maximized and the side effects are minimized.

In general, Nitric Oxide is used by serious muscle builders to get ripped fast to get that insane muscle growth, strength and endurance. But it is also advised not to exceed on the recommended dosage.

But to a beginner muscle builder who doesn't use NO as their pre-supplement, it is also better if you focus on what you are doing. Do the right thing in maintaining your body mass and weight. Here are some points on how to have that desired body and how get ripped fast without taking any NO as a supplement.

  • Be Prepared To Train Hard.
  • Train With Weights and Focus On Compound, Free Weight Movements.
  • Track Your Progress In The Gym From Week To Week
  • Avoid Overtraining
  • Eat More Frequently.
  • Increase Your Protein Intake.
  • Increase Your Water Intake.
  • Be Consistent!
  • Take The Right Supplements.
  •  Mix up your body-building routine!
Although NO is an essential compound in our body, taking it in the right amount and dosage is recommended. We should not over-take the dosage since it can also be harmful. Again, muscle builders can obtain that rock-hard look by taking NO as a pre-supplement but doing the natural way in obtaining the desired muscle is, again, recommended.

Think Green!

After the election campaign period in the Philippines, one common sight is the improper disposal of wastes particularly papers. At the polling precincts, what you is campaign paraphernalia mostly of papers. They haven't thought of the outcome especially on how to dispose such wastes. The candidates should have also consider that beforehand.

 dirty political campaign posters

Global Warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface. The warming of the world was recorded since the mid 20th century and until now. If you could feel the today's weather is so different even for just two to three years ago. In the Philippines, since it's a tropical country, the weather is warm but this summer, the hottest recorded  temperature reached to 37 degrees. The hot condition of the weather in the Philippines is also triggered by the el nino phenomenon.

Many would ask, what are the main factors in Global Warming? There are many principles that contribute to the warming of the Earth's surface. The biggest factor is the coal emission. We have been using oil as the main source for energy but we haven't really thought of the possible outcome it would cause. Many activists, particularly the Greenpeace, really opposed in large consumption of the of the coal and oil. They also have asked the government heads to tackle the issues regarding the coal companies. In the Philippines, they even asked our government for the closure of the coal power company which generates large income.

The second factor is the deforestation which is a common scenario in some tropical countries, especially the Philippines, Brazil, and some South African and American tropical countries. Since trees is the main source of making papers, large paper industries doesn't think of the great effect it would cause. Yes, we have heard them saying they replace every cut-down trees but didn't they think that a fully-matured tree reaches up to many  years to grow? Also, trees provide us the source of oxygen which also cools us down. But without trees, carbon dioxide which is exhausted by humans and animals, contribute more to the warming of the earth.

smoke emissions

There are some natural factors that contributes to the earth's warming, some of these are the solar-flaring and the distance of the earth to the sun. But there's nothing we can do to the natural forces but on the factors that are human-made, yes there is! We can do a lot of changes in our earth's temperature.

Just like what happened in the Philippine electorate, many politicians who ran for the office didn't mind of the outcome of their political campaign. They left a large number of papers which in fact can be recycled. As of the moment, many environment-conscious groups collected the paper for recycling. Just imagine how many trees that we could save if we just recycle waste papers. We just haven't helped the environment, we also helped the economy by conserving.

Hemodialysis Session 2nd Video

My second post on my hemodialysis session as prepared and inserted  by, again, Ms Zaira Oco of CUMC.

Team Willie or Team Jobert?

Power Tripping?

Plastic talaga si Willie Revillame, akalain nyo, sinabi pa niyang walang puli-pulitika pero siya mismo naka-orange! What is he trying to imply on that? He also defended their contestants saying that all people from different walks of life can join the game show and must be respected since they are special! Binibigyan daw nila ng halaga! Ano? Eh, siya mismo kung manlait parang halos walang katapusan! Kahit na wala siya, Wowowee can still and will still be able to continue the show.

You just have to accept na lang.

If i were the management of ABS, i would definitely not listen to what Willie would ask. He's just too arrogant to threat the management, who gave him the support and job during his downtime. It's true that he's testing his powers over the management. Why not fire him instead? To think there are already mushrooming number of fanpages on facebook for ousting Willie on TV. There are even a lot of members wanting Willie to resign and not show on TV again than members of wanting PGMA to resign! So funny but true.

Korina gets Booed!

I read one time on a newspaper saying Korina Sanchez, the TV-anchor-turned-politician's-wife (and probably a soon-to-be-first-lady if Mar Roxas, his husband wins the election tomorrow), got booed on a Tear for Fears concert at Araneta Coliseum. I did not really pay any attention on the said issue since it's just a small matter, "no big deal", as they would say.

Just this evening, my friend, Nayz pinged me on Facebook chat about the nonsense issue. She asked me to write an article about it so i hurriedly  pieced every stories from different websites about it and, boy, was i wrong! The stories, as i get more and more information, got more interesting. I searched on Youtube for the said controversial video and there! I found one.

Below is the video which shows the flashing of Korina's hand with "L" sign which stands for his husband's political party, the Laban. As the camera flashed her with her "L" hand, that was when she got booed! But she denied all of it!

The said incident was posted on twitter with TJ Manotoc's (a reporter of ABS-CBN) account. He said, "For those asking, korina was shown when TFF was off d stage. So dey showed people in d crowd going nuts screaming. She also did d Laban sign."

There were even more hilarious comments about the issue and according to Spot.ph, one twitter account user tweeted that, "Nice to see that Korina was booed in ‘her’ own coliseum. Hehehe."

Immediately, Korina asked for a presscon and said she wasn't booed! She didn't even know the camera was on her. But the video proves every move Korina did. She even flashed her hand twice for the Laban sign. Take a look on the video.

Korina Showing her "L" hands

I thought this whole issue is not for a laughing matter. This should be respected since the person involved is a respected journalist. But then again, for Christ's sake! This is a concert which is meant for people to enjoy. Not to "flash" your political color! I also feel so disappointed on what Korina did about asking for a presscon to make a lie about it.  It's not an appropriate thing to do for a  career-woman. So, what do you think about the incident?

Me (lip) singing Because of You - Kelly Clarkson

Got nothing to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon so i decided to make a music video - through lip synching! I found it so hilarious so i decided to put it on youtube. I was laughing so hard seeing this on youtube because i could not imagine it there!
But anyways, here's Because of You by Kelly Clarkson, one of my favorite singers, ever!

Sleep Deprivation and some Sleeping Tips

On my previous entry, i wrote an article about Restless Leg Syndrome which is a not-so-common problem relating sleep. On the last part, i promised to give some tips on how to have a good night (or even day) sleep - without the pills or such - the natural way. And with that, i found an article about it on a newspaper's entertainment section.

The article only pointed out 5 important tips to promote a good sleep (it's actually more than 5 but since the newspaper is only a tabloid, that's probably the reason they shortened it). But anyhow, the tips, if followed can give you the sleep you wanted. To start with,
  • Have a regular routine. What does that mean? That means you have to set your biological clock - sleeping and waking up on the same regular time. For example, set your sleeping time at around 8 pm (or the time you probably would fall asleep easily because some people couldn't sleep after this particular time) and regularly wake up at around 7 am. Do this daily and you'll notice it's not a hard thing to do. Just have your regular set of time for sleeping and waking up.
  • Don't eat too much on a supper. Avoid eating a very heavy meal during night time and when you're about to sleep because your digestive system keeps you awake and active as it digests your food.
  • Look for the most comfortable sleeping area. If you can't sleep easily, it's advisable to find another sleeping area where you think is much comfortable and can let you sleep. On my part, if i think my bed is uncomfortable for me, i tend to sleep on the couch and believe it or not, it's the most reliable resting place i've had next to my bed. Second option, 'ika nga.
  • Always maintain the silence and orderliness of the place where you sleep. The silence of the room gives calmness and the the orderliness gives harmony. If you have these two in your room, you'll easily fall asleep.
  • Stop whatever you're doing. Whatever it is, stop it. It's a false idea that doing something before you sleep can  make you doze off. For example, writing, reading a book, and some small chores, can let you stay awake because it makes your mind active.
People with lack of sleep can likely to have a hypertension, diabetes, an impaired immune system and some diseases. I have here a picture of some diseases we'll likely to acquire if we lack sleep.

Not everybody can sleep regularly. I, myself, have a sleeping problem (the RLS which is worsen by insomnia) which i really hate. I always say this that i envy those sleepy-heads who sleeps earlier than me. Just don't abuse your health. Remember that health is wealth.

Restless Leg Syndrome

A person can survive a few weeks without eating but a person without sleep can likely survive a week. That's what i read from a certain article about sleeping problem. I was alarmed when i read this one because i dont have a regular sleep - at all! I only have at least 6 hours a day and that's the maximum i can get unless i take something that helps me to. I have a pill that helps me sleep and that makes me feel dizzy a bit then feel dozy and then there, sleep like a baby. I love taking that pill but it's not actually a sleeping pill. It's just a tablet that calms my nerves. My doctor prescribed that to me because i have a restless leg syndrome which happens usually at night or even while you're resting - as in doing nothing. That tingling sensation which is so annoying attacks whenever i just sit down, watch a movie, ride a bus or even just reading but that sensation usually attacks at night when you're about to sleep.

Video of a person with RLS

Some people doesn't mind this kind of feeling but for some, this can be a problem. Why? Because you tend to stay awake the whole night, most probably, and in the morning you tend to feel sleepy because you lack of sleep the night before. Some already knew how to handle this kind of situation. They just let somebody massage the tingling part (which is usually on the lower extremities, like on the ankle and the foot area) but the relief is just only temporary. After a few minutes, the sensation comes back. I, on my part, had to ask the person massaging to stay awake with me just to lightly massage the affected area. I already explained this to them and, thankfully, they understand. So, this is the reason i don't have to miss a single dose.

I can't say the name of the product here since this entry is not really for the purpose of advertising the product. The reason i want to post this blog is for everyone to know how important sleep is. For those who can sleep normally, you have to thank God for it because it's not everybody can sleep at least 8 hours daily. I would say, im deprived of sleep and i always envy those who sleeps early than me. Not to mention, i also have an insomnia which also worsen my RLS (restless leg syndrome). I usually doze off after 3 am and i hate that!

On my next blog entry, i will post the easy tips on how to have a goodnight sleep -  the normal way. But for now, i have to go and leave you a good night sleep!

Through the Rain to my cousin Posing for the mobile cam

Me lip synching "Through the Rain" by Mariah Carey. My cousin Aura voiced this one. So sleepy when we did this because we haven't had enough sleep before that night. It was my granny's wake yet we goofed around.

My cousin posing  to my mobile phone.

Sorry we're Closed!

Some "CLOSE" signs. Does that mean they're "not open"? or just simply "closer to something else"? I personally found these signs from different places. Filipinos are fond in using these "close" signs. In smaller "sari-sari" (variety) stores, the typical sign you'll see is this: "Sorry, we're close". If you let an American read that phrase, he'll never understand it for sure. He'll think that the store owner is "sorry because he's close to something else". And even i myself don't know what. Kidding.

"Close" sign at Rika Drugstore, Gusa

Another one found at Chowking Gaisano

The second photo shows a fastfood in Cagayan de Oro with their "close" sign. This is a big establishment and hires an educated supervisor or manager yet they don't even know the right word to use. Why do they ever forget the "D"? Because of lack of space of the board?

Dick Gordon for President!

Election is already this coming May 10. A monday. And yet i haven't chosen a president to elect. Many of my friends are very vocal in supporting their candidate. I, on the other hand, haven't campaigned one candidate - even for one senator.

The presidential candidate im electing for this coming May 10th is Richard "Dick" Gordon. I may have not shown my support before because i don't want to show any bias information since im making blogs about the candidates. But this time around, im proud to say im supporting Dick Gordon.

Many people had commented that Gordon will not will this election because of the fact that he's not even reached the top 3 of the rank. Noynoy, according to them, will win. But Gordon, as a very positive-minded person thinks he still will win the race. But frankly saying, though i support him, i don't see the future of him winning this election. That's as far i am and the surveys are concern. Let's just get everything real.

I have here some reason why i want to elect Gordon as my President - not mentioning his credibility to run an office and his backgrounds (his opponents are nothing when compared to his).I got this points from his FACEBOOK page and since the platforrm is to long, i have to make it concise. His 5 Strategic Objectives are:

  • Establishing Peace and Security
  • Rooting out Graft and Corruption
  • Mobilizing Government for National Modernization
  • Managing the Economy for Growth and Global Competition
  • Developing our Human Resources
He also included the important factor which is the health program.
• Extend free public health services to cover all citizens, especially in the rural areas.

• Increase the salaries of doctors and nurses in order to keep more of them in the country.

• Establish compulsory healthcare savings account for all Filipinos.

• Establish more Botika ng Barangay outlets nationwide.

• Promote responsible parenthood.
All these platform, when summarized, is to make our country a better place to live. That's why they got got their political party name, Bagumbayan, which means "a  new country".

"Isa po akong Psychology..." - Marian Rivera

The controversial Marian Rivera video on saying she's a "Psychology" on a Noynoy Aquino campaign. The video, which i think sometimes happen to most of us, is not supposed to be circulated and be made as a target of "pangungutya". Although we speak good English in the Philippines, it's still the second language so i don't think Marian Rivera deserves to be laughed at just because she missed saying "graduate".

There are even some famous people who fluently speaks English sometimes make mistakes. They're not even aware that they just did it. We're not perfect. The people who judge one's flaw sometimes are ten times worse. It just so happen that the incident was Marian's time. Our's hasn't come yet. As they say, there's a time for us. And i think that saying fits for what im trying to say.

Im not Marian Rivera's fan and i don't even support her. I stand for those who who were ridiculed and criticized for the "mistake" they unknowingly did. I hope this explains much.

Heat Stroke - Some Information

Heat Stroke or Hyperthermia happens when the body produces or absorbs more heat than it can dissipate. We lose water from our body daily sweat, tears, urine and stool. We replace this by drinking water and other fluids. Heat Stroke, since the temperature of the body rises when you experience this, is different from fever because the body temperature only rises from the body's set-point while Heat Stroke keeps the body's temperature rises uncontrollably. The opposite of Hyperthermia or Heat Stroke is Hypothermia which the body's temperature lower's uncontrollably.

Many cases of heat stroke are reported during summer since summer is the hottest season of the year. Especially now that we are experiencing Global Warming. In the Philippines, as a tropical country, summertime is from early March to May. That's the normal period of the summer season. However, now that we are experiencing climate change and we have global warming, summer seems to extend it's time and has even started it's season earlier than expected.

What are the symptoms of a person suffering from Heat Stroke? I have here some points from a certain website and this is very useful to detect one.
  • thirst
  • less-frequent urination
  • dry skin
  • fatigue
  • light-headedness
  • dizziness
  • confusion
  • dry mouth and mucous membranes
  • increased heart rate and breathing
Election period in the Philippines is during May and many cases of heat stroke have been reported especially those who do campaigns. Celebrity Kris Aquino, sister of the presidential candidate Noynoy Aquino, admitted she almost had heat stroke when she did a campaign for his brother. She immediately stopped her campaign because she already felt dizzy. An article from a newspaper also wrote that a pedicab driver fell dead on the street because of heat stroke. There's even one news that a cameraman who covered a news about heat stroke died after he felt dizzy and fell down. The cause? Heat Stroke.

How can Heat Stroke be treated? According to the article i read, Dehydration and Heat Stroke, the first aid to heat stroke is to drink lots of fluid to lower down the body's temperature. Observe the body until the temperature reaches down to at least the normal point.

But the question about heat stroke is; can we prevent heat stroke since we can't prevent today's global warming and today's weather condition is getting hotter and hotter everyday? The answer is, yes!
Here are some tips on how to prevent heat stroke especially now that's summer. Take a look.
  • Drink plenty of fluids during outdoor activities, especially on hot days. Water and sports drinks are the drinks of choice; avoid tea, coffee, soda and alcohol as these can lead to dehydration.

  • Wear lightweight, tightly woven, loose-fitting clothing in light colors.

  • Schedule vigorous activity and sports for cooler times of the day.

  • Protect yourself from the sun by wearing a hat, sunglasses and using an umbrella.

  • Increase time spent outdoors gradually to get your body used to the heat.

  • During outdoor activities, take frequent drink breaks and mist yourself with a spray bottle to avoid becoming overheated.

  • Try to spend as much time indoors as possible on very hot and humid days.
Heat Stroke can be prevented if we do these tips. Some medical experts even suggest to do outdoor chores not during the peak of the day. You can do it instead during late afternoon like 3 pm because, according to them, 10 am to 3pm is the hottest time of the day.

HD session

Hi! I just want to take a rest for while in writing some political blogs since the election is already nearing! Let me have this time for my precious self.

Taken while having my weekly HD session at CUMC, this is a picture of myself with a facial mask just for compliance's sake.

Political Feud

When i arrived home from my weekly HD session this evening, i noticed a pamphlet  laid over the table and it seemed no one ever bothered reading it. I asked my mum about it and she told me to read it since she already did. Well, i asked her once again what it was but she just told me to read it and tell her what i think about the content. My mum, who always keeps me "hanging", made me curious about it.

The title says, "SI NOYNOY NA BA AT WALA NG IBA???" and with this alone, made me more curious and read the whole article. The article was, according to the texts was researched  and distributed by the former Congressman Rene P. Dragon, all bout Noynoy Aquino's being unfit to such presidential position. Every incapability was pointed out - one by one - by the author who published it on his Facebook account, Atty. Gary Tiongco, a graduate of UP college of law. Every detail he wrote, according to him, were of his opinion as a non-political persona. But as far as my knowledge in research is concern, i couldn't find the name Gary Tiongco or Atty. Gary Tiongco.

Frontpage of the booklet

Honestly, i got nearly convinced by the writings but then on the later part of the booklet, i read the name of Manny Villar. If i could just laugh so hard on what i just read, i would but then i had to keep it myself.

Who would ever believe on such  writings especially that the one who wrote is a supporter? Im not saying im Villar's supporter or Noynoy's. Neither of the two. What im actually pointing out here is this whole filthy political feud. It's even more pathetic that this whole "feud" touches up one's egos! Look at what was thrown at Noynoy's camp? It was his alleged psychological report saying he underwent great depression and psychiatric treatment. And to Manny? Well, every possible "evil" thing and that he didn't really "come from a poor family".

Somebody from facebook sent me a picture of Baby James Yap showing his "dirty fingers". I can't say how genuine the picture is or how fake it is but what i know is this whole situation especially during election just made me feel so sad about our country. Imagine, you include a kid just to ruin one's credibility? Again, im not saying all these as a supporter. Im mainly saying these as a concerned citizen. If these are the kind of attitudes our future leaders are showing us even before they're yet on the position, how much more if already elected?

Baby James' "Dirty Finger"

This whole "political feud" during election seems so normal already to most people. Political gimmicks, scandals, bribery, vote-buying (there's even flying-voters!), name it, our country has it. We boast our country as the only Catholic country (majority) in Asia but we have the dirtiest election and that doesn't show the Christianity in us.

This coming May 10th, i pray for a VERY peaceful and successful 1st AUTOMATED ELECTION in the country's history! Let not others dictate us who to elect. Let's be vigilant to guard our vote. Remember, every vote counts.

Whatever will happen to Gordon?

Funny how Dick Gordon plays with the comedians Moymoy Palaboy. The latter duo are vocal about their support to Gordon.
I tried to find, or shall i say i searched all over the web, the funny moments of Dick but to my frustration, i only found this.

This video of the presidential candidate making fun as he does lipsynching.

Here is a video below on what was a then interview by Karen Davila, a reporter from ABS-CBN showing Gordon's hot-temperedness.
After Karen Davila read one of the viewer's comments saying that Gordon is good but has no chance of winning, he showed his color and said he's going to sue the survey companies (SWS and Pulse Asia).

Many commented on Gordon's hot-temperedness especially that he's still running for the office. Many said that if he shows an attitude like what he's showing on the video, how much more if he runs the country? What will happen to the country?
I think i remember, if im not mistaken that there was one time when i heard the news featuring him saying that he's a dictator wayback Subic. So apt for his name, "Dicktator". Many former colleagues of the presidential bet commented to that - on national TV!

But Dick Gordon's supporters do not allow such nonsense. They're not voting for the person's attitude, they reason, but the person's good governance - and that's what they see from him.

Noynoy's psychological report

This issue on Noynoy Aquino's psychological report made a big noise on the world of politics and of course to the whole of blogosphere. Just as today, as i read the morning paper, the headline says about the alleged psychological report and also about the candidate's refusal to a certain psych examination.

It was said that the NP or Nacionalista Party led by his great rival on today's election, Manny Villar made up all these. Which, of course was denied by the latter group.

Many articles about the the alleged brouhaha were circulated and shared all over the internet. I happened to receive one document regarding Noynoy's highschool years in Ateneo. It was a letter which happens to have the author anonymous. I asked the source about the letter's author but he denied. He told me, as we spoke on Facebook:

With this response, i gave my utmost respect.

Im not saying im an anti-Noynoy (although i admit im not a supporter) the reason i make this entry. What i just wanted to say and know is all about the headline from the newspaper. Yes, they defended Noynoy saying it's all but fake. But why does Mr. Aquino refused himself to such test? If they don't hide anything from us, voters, we might be able to choose the rightful president - a psychologically-normal one.

I read an article from the philstar.com website saying that Aquino "was the “victim” of malicious and bogus psychiatric reports and must not be the one to suffer by being pressed to take a psychiatric examination."

He also said that, "If we bite what is wrong, an established false, we want to make that which is false a reality. Are we not the persons who should be undergoing treatment?"

It was also said that Aquino underwent a psychiatric test while staying at Boston, accoding to the writer Carmen Pedrosa.

We understand Mr. Aquino's right to refusal in submitting himself to such test but for the sake of the Filipino people who will vote for him this coming May 10th (since he always tops the mock elections and surveys), it's better if he do the psych test. Seven of the presidential candidates agreed and submitted themselves to a test but only Mr. Aquino refused. Nothing will lose if everything he said is true, right? That would only makes the voters think twice if this continues to be a mystery.
